McLaren-Mercedes driver David Coulthard set the pace for the third consecutive day today [Thursday], at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, team-mate, Kimi Raikkonen was next fastest, around six tenths slower.

DC's best lap was a 1m 15.382s, however the Scot couldn't match his time from Tuesday, a 1m 15.266s, which was a new lap record.

Juan Pablo Montoya was third for BMW WilliamsF1, while Olivier Panis posted the fourth quickest time, in the new Toyota TF103, around two tenths slower. The Frenchman notched up 48 laps in total and his team-mate, Cristiano da Matta was fifth, just over half a second behind.

Alex Wurz meanwhile was sixth quickest, and fellow test driver, Marc Gene was seventh, the McLaren and the Williams respectively split by only one tenth of a second.

B.A.R Honda continued running with the new 005, and this time Anthony Davidson was putting it through it's paces, taking over from fellow Brit and former Renault driver Jenson Button. Davidson, who tested for B.A.R last year, was drafted in so he could compare it to the 2002 model, the 004.

Renault's Fernando Alonso was ninth, and team-mate's Allan McNish and Jarno Trulli were eleventh and twelfth. Tenth sandwiched between the Renault's was the sole Jaguar at the track, Antonio Pizzonia setting a best time of 1m 18.817s.

Testing continues tomorrow [Friday].
