More miles at Mugello for Schumi and F2004.

Six times Formula One world champion, Michael Schumacher was testing at the Autodromo del Mugello today [Thursday], as the Scuderia continued development work on the new F2004.

The German driver covered 57 laps, under bright sunshine, 13 of them on the short version of the track, his quickest a 1 minute 19.674 seconds.

Schumi continues testing at this track tomorrow [Friday].

At Jerez meanwhile Rubens Barrichello took over from Ferrari tester, Luca Badoer, the Brazilian setting the eighth quickest time, running at the wheel of last year's car, the F2003-GA.

Rubens focused on Bridgestone tyre development work as well as trying new components, which will be used in the course of the 2004 season. He completed a total of 99 laps, the quickest being a 1m 17.634s. Barrichello continues testing at this circuit tomorrow.
