Raikkonen edges Hamilton to lead second practice at Spa

Kimi Raikkonen completed a Ferrari sweep of Friday's practice sessions for the Belgian Grand Prix by topping FP2 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, finishing one-tenth of a second clear of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

The time saw Raikkonen beat Hamilton by 0.168 seconds at the head of the field, with Mercedes taking a two-three as Valtteri Bottas finished one place behind his teammate, three-tenths of a second further back.

Max Verstappen took fourth place as the lead Red Bull driver, finishing more than six-tenths of a second off Raikkonen's time as the team struggled for pace. Following a difficult FP1 that saw an issue limit his lap count, teammate Daniel Ricciardo finished sixth in FP2, just behind Sebastian Vettel in the second Ferrari.

Sergio Perez finished as the clear midfield leader in seventh place for Force India, running more than eight-tenths of a second clear of Carlos Sainz Jr. of Renault in eighth place. Sauber drivers Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc rounded out the top 10 with an impressive showing for the Swiss team.

Nico Hulkenberg took 11th ahead of Romain Grosjean and Esteban Ocon, with Kevin Magnussen finishing 14th. Toro Rosso drivers Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley finished 15th and 17th respectively, split by Fernando Alonso, who returned to the McLaren cockpit after missing FP1 to allow junior driver Lando Norris to get some track time.

Williams drivers Sergey Sirotkin and Lance Stroll took 18th and 19th, only finishing ahead of McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne, who once again hit trouble through the session due to a floor problem.
