There was little damage but the team had not had a chance to inspect the cause although the extinguisher had been deployed.

On his first F3 run at the circuit, Green was running eleventh fastest on a 1 minute 30.196 seconds.
Alan Van der Merwe led the official timesheets with a 1m 28.968s followed by his team-mates Richard Antinucci on 1m 29.294s and Ronnie Bremer on 1m 29.336s giving Carlin a 1-2-3 in the dry conditions.
Next up was Fortec's Robert Dahlgren on 1m 29.556s followed by Danny Watts for HiTec (1m 29.660s) and Manor Motorsport's Clivio Piccione (1m 29.685s).
