Duran has recently tested with the Silverstone-based squad, which will be using Mercedes powerplants for its attack on the 2006 championship in the ultra-competitive series.

Duran, who won the 2005 National class title driving for P1 Motorsport in a Dallara chassis, said he is looking forward to driving for David Hayle's squad, with the German powerplant which has been so successful in the F3 EuroSeries.

"I've signed already for Hitech Racing, we're going to do British F3 with the Mercedes engines," Duran told Crash.net Radio in Dubai.

Duran, racing for Team Mexico in the A1 GP in Dubai, is unsure how, or if, he will dovetail racing in the A1 GP in the beginning of 2006 along with his F3 test programme.

"I don't know if I'm going to do the A1 GP as we've got to do testing and Hitech is now preparing a good testing programme," he explained. "We need to sit down and talk with the A1 people and with ourselves."
