Long-time Indy Racing League entrant and motorsports equipment supplier Sinden Racing Service has confirmed that it will field a car in the 2002 Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series.

Team owner Jeff Sinden and co-owner Joe Kennedy, who founded Indianapolis-based Sinden Racing Service in 1987, have already purchased a Dallara chassis for the inaugural season and negotiations with drivers are underway.

"Like the Indy Racing League, the Infiniti Pro Series will be very competitive," Sinden said, "We've received many inquiries regarding support equipment for the Infiniti Pro Series, and we're very excited about all the interest the series is generating."

Sinden Racing Service has fielded entries for drivers such as Davey Hamilton, Robbie Buhl, Jeff Ward, Steve Kinser and JJ Yeley since the debut of the Indy Racing League in 1996 and, also provides products and services to the racing industry. This coming year, it will operate the Indy Racing League's two-seat Indy car program, the 'Indy Racing Experience'.

"I'm delighted to have the Sinden team on board for our debut season," said Roger Bailey, executive director of the Infiniti Pro Series, "The operation is a leader in the supply of pit equipment throughout the country and a long-time supporter of the IRL. I'm sure that they will be a great asset to our newly formed series."

The Infiniti Pro Series will debut on 7 July at Kansas Speedway, the first of seven anticipated Series events in 2002. Races will take place at the same track and on the same weekend as Indy Racing League events, with every Infiniti Pro Series race distance set at 100 miles.
