Metabolife, based in San Diego, California, has signed on as the primary sponsor for the #18 PDM Dallara for the Delphi Indy 300 in Joliet, where Infiniti Pro Series frontrunner Ed Carpenter will make his full IRL debut.

"Our team, along with our driver Ed Carpenter, are extremely proud to represent Metabolife," said team owner Paul Diatlovich during the Autosport 2003 radio show on which the deal was announced, "Metabolife has done so many remarkable things for so many people, and we hope to build upon their existing success."

Further to the partnership for this weekend's Chicagoland event, PDM is also negotiating with Metabolife for the remainder of the 2003 season. Metabolife logos will appear on the regular PDM bodywork in the Delphi Indy 300, but the team will have the car repainted for the Toyota Indy 400 at the California Speedway later in the month.

Metabolife was formed by Michael J Ellis in 1989, and has been producing herbal dietary supplements ever since. One of the newest dietary supplements offered is Metabolife Ultra, a carefully formulated weight loss supplement that provides sustained energy while helping meet weight loss goals.
