The D3 Motorsport Development group, responsible for the Champ Car World Series events in Mexico City, Surfers Paradise and Monterrey, have resigned from Forsythe Racing Inc.

The Australian family track development team of Ron, Jeremy and Heath Dickson have made the decision to venture towards independecy.

"We have decided to move ourselves into a more independent role," Ron Dickson explained. "This decision was a very difficult one and took many hours of consideration, however we are confident that our new venture will move us towards our long term goals for both the series and ourselves.

"We have some very large events on the drawing board which will be as advanced and become as successful as the previous. The full details of our new venture will be available soon via our website. We wish Forsythe Racing Inc. continued success, and would like to thank Mr Forsythe for allowing us to be a part of his organisation"

Champ Car series organisers have already granted approval for D3 Motorsport Development to be a preferred track developer for the Series.
