FA: Champs complete 'all-America' line-up.

Jonathan Bomarito has joined Champ Car Atlantic champions Sierra Sierra Enterprises for the 2008 campaign, completing an all-USA pairing with rookie Dane Cameron.

The Atlantic stalwart switches from PR1 Motorsports to join the team that took Raphael Matos to the 2007 crown, as he and Cameron replace the Brazilian and team-mate James Hinchcliffe in the line-up. Matos is hoping that his $2million prize will pave the way to a Champ Car drive, while Hinchcliffe is eyeing opportunities in various categories as well as remaining a part of Team Canada's A1GP operation.

"With a championship title to defend, there is definitely more pressure to perform," team manager Richard Raeder said, "Having a team with both an experienced driver and a rookie is a great way to develop talent and build on our success. We are really excited to have a driver of Jonathan's ability on our team, and 2008 is shaping up to be a great season."

Now entering his third year in the category, Californian Bomarito brings a solid record to his new team, with two wins, one pole and eight podiums in 31 Atlantic starts, finishing fifth in the 2007 standings.

"When I received the call from Richard, I was thrilled," he admitted, "I'm so excited to start working with the team and to testing in the spring. This was the best news I could have hoped for."

With fellow American, and reigning Star Mazda champion Cameron alongside Bomarito, Sierra Sierra is confident that race weekends could be patriotic occasions.

"We are really looking forward to hearing the national anthem playing from the podium - hopefully, after every race," owner Diane Kottke said, "We are very proud to be in a position to work with talented drives like Jonathan and Dane. We are very excited to get this season started!"
