Isle of Man TT star Michael Dunlop takes to the Sepang track with the Suzuki GSX-RR for his MotoGP test debut.

Michael Dunlop has enjoyed a maiden MotoGP test with the Ecastar Suzuki squad at Sepang in Malaysia on Thursday alongside Toni Elias and Josh Waters.

The 15-time TT winner had been invited by Suzuki to the private test alongside the factory's MotoAmerica champion Elias and Australian champion Waters as reward for last year's Senior TT victory on the all-new GSX-R1000.

Suzuki test rider Sylvain Guintoli has been on hand to give the trio a quick briefing on controls and what to watch out for with the carbon brakes and seamless gearbox, before Waters was the first to complete two runs before handing over to Dunlop and Elias.

It is understood the trio went out on standard specification Michelin tyres in order not to eat into Suzuki’s MotoGP test tyre allocation. No official timing was given at the private test in Sepang.
