Following Sunday's season-ending Valencia MotoGP, riders and teams returned to the circuit for the start of 2019 testing.

Tuesday marks the debut of Jorge Lorenzo at Repsol Honda, Johann Zarco at KTM, Andrea Iannone at Aprilia, Danilo Petrucci at the factory Ducati team, Karel Abraham at Reale Avintia and Franco Morbidelli at the new Petronas Sepang Yamaha team.

The four 2019 rookies - Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Ducati), Miguel Oliveira (Tech3), Joan Mir (Suzuki) and Fabio Quartararo (Sepang Yamaha) - will also be on track, while Tito Rabat makes his return from leg fractures at Silverstone and Tech3 starts its new KTM era after 20 years with Yamaha.

Bradley Smith will make his debut as an Aprilia test rider, while Jonas Folger returns to MotoGP as Yamaha's new test rider.

Testing concludes at Valencia on Wednesday evening.

A final post-season test will then be held at Jerez from November 28-29, before the winter test ban begins.
