Mann leads ICE with three to go.

International Championship Events/ICE presented round three of the 28th Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series last Thursday night to a packed Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO.

The wildly enthusiastic crowd was treated to a spectacular Main Event that saw three lead changes involving the sport's top riders. Charlie "The Edge" Venegas proved he still had what it takes by winning his first race since sustaining serious injuries in St. Louis two seasons ago.

Ronny Kemp finished a strong second with Defending World Champion James Mann coming in third. Mann was able to hold on to a slim 10 World Championship Points lead over Kemp with 3 rounds remaining.

In the Quads event, Canadian Dick Matei victorious. Matei, a former ICE World Champion, was the third different winner in as many rounds of 28th Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series. He won Loveland over a second place Mandy Brodil and third place Lance Hallworth. With 3 Rounds remaing a total of only 5 World Championship Points seperate new leader Brodil (128), Dennis Sommerfeldt (126) and Matei (123).
