Reading Euphony Racers have completed their 2004 line-up with the announcement that two riders will be sharing the number seven berth for the coming campaign. James Cockle a loanee from Rye House, and Wolverhampton asset Steven Braidford will share the Euphony Racers number seven jacket - on a match-by-match basis.

Braidford will be riding Conference League with Swindon Sprockets in 2004, but has also turned out for Wolverhampton and Wimbledon at Conference level in the past two years, which saw him race to a 7.69 average from 14 matches for the Midland club in 2003. He also had some action for the Wolves senior team last season in the British League Cup, where he scored 3.43 from 3 matches, which included 6 from 4 rides against Somerset Rebels.

The 19-year-old also had one further British League Cup outing with Premier League side Kings Lynn last year, when he scored 4 points against Rye House. Braidford's only previous Premier League ride was one meeting for Isle of Wight in 2002.

Cockle has an extra year's racing experience under his belt to Braidford, having spent almost his entire career since 2001 racing in the Conference League with Rye House Raiders. His form has improved steadily each season, and in 2003 the 18-year-old achieved a 6.09 average from 24 Conference League matches. His only previous Premier League experience came in 2002, when he scored 3 (paid 4) for Rye House Rockets at home to Swindon Robins.

Both riders come highly-rated to Reading and are believed to have big futures in the sport. The pair are said to be eagerly awaiting getting stuck into Premier League action for the Euphony Racers in 2004, in what promises to be a great season for the Berkshire club.
