The action starts this Friday when near neighbours the Coventry Bees come into town for the traditional start of season challenge match. Tuesday's official launch saw a host of local media meet the team at the Park End Nightclub in Oxford. This was followed in the evening by a public launch which was hosted by BBC Oxford's Jonathan Hancock. The event was a huge success with a large number of fans coming along to meet the new side. Club spokesman Leon Hill was delighted with their reaction.

"We held a very unique event which was well received, the place rocked!" The club would like to pass on it's thanks to Jonathan Hancock and also to Zolly and all the team at the Park End Club who made the event possible. Everyone at Park End went out of their way to ensure that a great night was enjoyed by everyone and we thank them for their assistance" Hill concluded.

Friday's match will be eagerly anticipated by all as there has been some major changes to the side which took Oxford into the play off's last season, and it will be the first chance for Oxford fans to see Rafal Dobrucki in action. For Coventry, they also have the new exciting partnership at reserve of American hotshot Brian Yarrow and the new Super Dane Morten Risager who will both be making their British debuts.
