With the 2004 speedway season only just started Justin Elkins and Weymouth Speedway have parted company with Justin's contract now being cancelled following a poor start to the season from the Ringwood based rider. Last seasons rider of the year and skipper of the Wildcats is now on the look out for a team spot elsewhere.

With this shock move Wildcats number one Justin is devastated after the investment he has ploughed into his equipment during the winter months as well as attracting new sponsors and packing in his job to fully concentrate on speedway. Wildcats chairman Brian White commented "I would like to thank Justin for all the help and effort he has put in to help revive speedway in Weymouth, I also hope he gets fixed up with another club soon and wish him all the best for the future."

White now has to turn his attentions to scouring the UK to find a suitable replacement for his departing skipper. "Justin has bags of talent and potential, he is a very nice lad, it's just a shame things haven't worked out as I had hoped they would," added White.
