In an ongoing attempt to promote and further the business interests of the Weymouth Wildcats, Brian White has recently appointed Jon Dixon as the new Commercial Manager for the club. With Tom Boyer's potential move to London, Brian White feels that the role of Commercial Manager demands a professional working full time in this position.

Jon is no stranger to sport in the local area, being an avid cricket supporter and player. At present he is an active member of Portland Red Triangle, but is remembered for his time playing for Weymouth Cricket Club. He also bowls regularly at the Lakeside Bowl in Weymouth and has recently been employed helping Tim Helm at Weymouth Speedway on Friday Nights.

Jon has had wide experience in a variety of careers and is a lively outgoing character, having just discovered a passion for Speedway and the Weymouth Wildcats in general. On being asked how he felt about his new role Jon said: "This is a dream come true. I have always wanted a career that revolves around sport, and I can't thank Brian and Katherine enough for putting their trust in me. The job will not be an easy one, but I can assure all of the fans that I will do my best to put my heart and soul into the club. Everyone in the club is geared towards progression, getting the best deal for the Wildcats and Fans alike. All I ask is for a little patience, but I promise results. If anyone is considering sponsorship or advertising in other areas, come and have a chat with me first. I am confident that I can put together a package that will enhance market share."

Throughout the season Jon will be endeavouring to inform the fans of new developments as they occur and would be delighted to hear from any potential sponsors. He can be reached at the track on 01305 769358 or mobile on 07876 242802.
