Excitement builds for Green Bay opening round.

The excitement and anticipation grows for the Opening Round of the biggest ice racing series in history. The ICE/International Championship Events organized and produced series will visit over 20 cities this winter beginning with Green Bay, WI on December 2nd.

Opening Round racing in the 31st Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series will take place in the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena starting at 7:30PM.

Opening Round racing in the 31st Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series will take place in the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena starting at 7:30PM.

Many of the country's top motorcycle racers will be competing in the Manufacturers World Cup Bike Division. Among top headliners are non other than West Bend, WI's own JR Schnabel; Shaun Russell from San Jose, CA; Jared Mees from Honeybrook, PA; Chris Canepa from Portville, CA; Shane Vance from Macomb, IL; Jeremy DeRuyter from West Bend, WI; Kevin Anderson from St. Paul, MN; Jake Mataya from Minneapolis, MN; Tom McGrane from Gap, PA; Kenny Malagurnero from Hisperia, CA, Rob Pearson from Chillicothe, IL and Josh Toungett from East Peoria, IL.

In the Unlimited Outlaw Quad Division (highly modified open engine 4-wheel ATV's) a stellar field of racers and machines had also entered. Former Las Vegas World Championship Final winner Deny ?Mooman? Sommerfeldt from Beloit, WI heads up the entries.

Also planning to compete are defending World Champion Dick Matei from Hinton, AB; Chuck Calvert from Madison, WI; Joey Bolen from Bryant, WI; Steve Palmer from Des Moines, IA; Daniel Bergquist and Ryan Jamison from Burlington, IA and ?Dirt? Edwards from Myrtle Beach, SC to name some.

ICE/International Championship Events also offers regional racers the opportunity to compete in three amateur classes. Nitro X-Karts, Big Dogs adult mini pit bikes and ICE Breaker Quads. Rob Caho is also bringing eight motorized Rocket Barstools for a special celebrity race. There's something for everyone at ICE World Championship events.
