Elite League Riders' Championship - line-up.

The 16-man field for the Elite League Riders' Championship has been confirmed, and contains the cream of the grand prix crop - as well as some who feel they should be given the chance.

The event, a highlight of the season, takes place at Sheffield on 30 September, and will feature three of this year's four grand prix winners, with only Tomasz Gollob missing because he no longer rides in the UK. World champion elect Tony Rickardsson therefore lines up against both Jason Crump and Billy Hamill as a round winner on the international stage in 2001, but will also face stiff opposition from the likes of former and reigning world champions Greg Hancock and Mark Loram.

Sam Ermolenko, Krzysztof Cegielski and Scott Nicholls head the list of riders in the championship field who feel they should get a crack at grands prix next year, while former GP winners Martin Dugard and Chris Louis will also be in Sheffield.

The complete line-up is as follows:

1. Martin Dugard Eastbourne
2. Ryan Sullivan Peterborough
3. Krzysztof Cegielski Poole
4. Billy Hamill Coventry
5. Scott Nicholls Ipswich
6. Leigh Adams Oxford
7. Sam Ermolenko Wolverhampton
8. Chris Louis Ipswich
9. Greg Hancock Coventry
10. Tony Rickardsson Poole
11. Nicki Pedersen King's Lynn
12. Mark Loram Peterborough
13. Jason Lyons Belle Vue
14. Lukas Dryml Oxford
15. Mikael Karlsson Wolverhampton
16. Jason Crump King's Lynn
