The Czech is now the second rider to sign up for Reading, following on from Brendon Mackay, who agreed a new deal last week.

The Kings Lynn asset will join Reading on loan for the season, and will come into the team on a 9.54 average.

Topinka rode for Elite League side Belle Vue during 2001 and scored a creditable 4.77 average. He has previously ridden for Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Oxford in the top flight and also rides for Tony Olsson's side Bysarna in the Swedish Elite League.

This is an excellent signing for the Racers, giving them once again a top class heat-leader, which will a long way to replacing last seasons number one Swindon bound Charlie Gjedde. He comes with a reputation for having excellent equipment and being a fast-starter.

Further signings are expected very soon, possibly before Christmas. For more information see: www.readingspeedway.com
