Australian Jones, whose season began late after recovery from injuries sustained racing in Australia over the winter, has struggled to make an impression in his short time with the club. Now he finds himself injured following a racing accident in Newport's recent defeat at Edinburgh.

Australian Jones, whose season began late after recovery from injuries sustained racing in Australia over the winter, has struggled to make an impression in his short time with the club. Now he finds himself injured following a racing accident in Newport's recent defeat at Edinburgh.
The combination of Jones' injury and lack of points scoring has promoted Newport in to finding a replacement and Lindqvist fits the bill.
He has had previous spells with the club as well as a brief spell with Poole in the Elite League over the past few seasons. Lindqvist is due to make his return in Sunday's home meeting with Stoke.
Wasps boss Tim Stone said: "All we're looking for from Emil is six or seven points a meeting and that will make us into a consistent winning team."
