Sullivan maximum paves way for Panthers win.

Peterborough boosted their chances of qualifying for the Elite League play-offs with only their second away win of the season at The Norfolk Arena.

The outcome was never really in doubt after Panthers made a blistering start to the meeting - claiming heat advantages in each of their first five races to roar into a 21-9 lead.

Ryan Sullivan, claiming a four-ride maximum before being let off heat 15 duly, won the opener in a new track record - lowering his own previous best mark to a stunning 57.9.

Two further 4-2s and a 5-1 followed via two heat wins from Magnus Zetterstrom and one from Sam Tesar. Both those two were in outstanding form as they recorded double figure scores.

Piotr Protasiewicz, on a productive away night for the Pole, came from the back to team up with Zetterstrom for the full house.

The Knights finally hit back with a 4-2 as the impressive Pedersen got the better of Protasiewicz but Tesar and Clausen responded immediately with another heat maximum before the home side staged a battling recovery.

Pedersen, twice, and the excellent Travis McGowan starred as Lynn reeled off three heat wins to cut the gap to just four points. But their charge was halted by a 5-1 from Sullivan and Shane Parker.

The only shared heat of the night saw a third heat win for Zetterstrom with Sullivan and Pepe pushing the Peterborough advantage to 10 points in heat 13. The Knights had the consolation of winning the last two races to close th arrears to six points at the end.
