Coventry's Lee Richardson returned from injury in style by qualifying for next year's Grand Prix series by winning the qualifier at Pila, Poland.

He missed the Bees' trip Peterborough and the Elite League Riders' Championship at Poole last week but bounced back to score 14-points at Pila to head the qualifiers.

Richardson will be joined in the 2003 series by Bo Brhel, Piotr Protasiewicz, Lukas Dryml, Bjarne Pedersen and Tomasz Bajerski.

Shock failures were Belle Vue's Jason Lyons and former Grand Prix rider Peter Karlsson.
