Smart becomes first Wasp back in the nest.

Newport have made their first signing for 2003 by bringing back popular Aussie Frank Smart.

Smart was named rider of the year voted by Newport fans and was delighted to have concluded a deal before returning home.

"I had a great year at Newport. Indeed I would have to put that one down as my best ever season in the sport and I just can't wait for next year." said Smart.
