Kolenko becomes Machine reserve.

The Oxford Silver Machine have announced signing number three. Slovenian, Jernej Kolenko has followed Nicki Pedersen and Travis McGowan to Oxford and will line up in one of the reserve berths.

Kolenko was a late addition to the Kings Lynn side last year and retains an assessed average of 4.5 as he only rode in 8 official fixtures. Nigel Wagstaff has no doubts to the young mans abilities: "At 19 he has a lot of potential, no doubt about that. He's going to be well set up in this country with sponsors, mechanics and somewhere to live and it was never really in any doubt that I would give him full-time employment this year. His work permit is in place and with the facilities and opportunities at Oxford plus the other riders he will have around him, he is well placed to have a full and prosperous year with us".

Wagstaff has ruled out the possibility of Kolenko doubling up with another team: "I don't think doubling-up with the Premier League would be a good thing for him, I think riding in the Elite League is the best thing for him this year and he should concentrate totally on that. He's got everything in place to make it work and I'm fairly certain with Nicki and Travis in the side that he will settle into the club quite comfortably"
