Newport complete with Cambridge.
The Newport Wasps made it seven out of seven after handing Matt Cambridge a team place. He'll fill the outstanding reserve position where he'll partner Chris Schramm.
Cambrige began to cut his speedway teeth at Conference League with Sheffield a couple of years or so ago and improved quickly enough to attract the attention of Exeter at Premier League level and he began the 2001 season brightly with the Falcons until a badly broken thigh sustained in a crash at Hull pretty much wrote off his season.

He stayed with Exeter for 2002 but struggled to regain form and his efforts were not helped by more injury problems. But now with a change of scenery as good as a fresh start, Cambrige has a good opportunity to kick start a promising career. His signing could be a shrewd move from Wasps' promoter Tim Stone as an injury-free Cambridge has the potential to improve his starting average and provide solid scoring from reserve.
This means Newport start 2003 with the following seven riders: Craig Watson, Niels Kristian Iversen Frank Smart, Tony Atkin, Carl Wilkinson Chris Schramm Matt Cambridge. The Wasps' hopes for the season will arguably depend on Iversen and his ability to live up to his hefty assessed starting average.
