Carl Stonehewer has settled his differences with Workington and will lead the Comets into the 2003 season.

The former Grand Prix star criticised club bosses Ian Thomas and Tony Mole last week, claiming they had been obstructive in his wish to 'double-up' with Belle Vue.

Thomas said: "We held a successful meeting with Carl and his father and the result is that he has signed his 2003 contract."
