Co-promoter Martin Ochiltree, who has worked at the stadium for 30 years, and his mother Linda, who first came to Brandon with her late husband Charles in 1948, have cleared their offices over the past couple of days after severing their links with the club.

Sandhu explained: "Martin and Linda Ochiltree are no longer part of Coventry Racing Club Ltd, but we would like to thank them for their services, and for all their efforts in keeping Coventry Stadium going over the last 56 years. I don't think anybody will ever do that again. What they achieved with the budget they had was remarkable."

"It is sad for them to leave after so long at the stadium. I have no problem with Martin or Linda and I wish them only good luck in the future, but we were worlds apart with our ideas about running the business. Sadly everything comes to an end but we now have to move on."

Colin Pratt becomes sole speedway promoter at Brandon, as well as continuing as team manager of the Victor Chandler Bees.
