Ales Dryml joins Poole.

Poole have snapped up Ales Dryml for their remaining Elite League meetings as they look to lift the championship. The former Oxford and Belle Vue rider will replace David Ruud who will continue to ride for the Pirates' British League Cup side.

Co-promoter Matt Ford said: "Ales is a strong rider and we feel we can get the best out of him despite his troubled time at Belle Vue." Dryml didn't find the Manchester track to his liking too much and never really settled.

His season appeared to be going nowhere fast until he turned it around with a top six placing in the recent Grand Prix qualifier final at Poole which not only gave him a guaranteed place in the 2004 GP series but also attracted the attention of the Pirates' promotion which now gives him Dryml a chance of an Elite League winners' medal.
