Grant MacDonald has quit Glasgow and is about to consider his future in the sport. The former Newcastle and Workington rider has struggled to find his true form in the early stages of the season.

The funeral of David Nix, who tragically died following a track accident two weeks ago, will take place on Friday May 17 at 1.45pm at the Carrington Church, Carrington Lincs.

A crowd of nearly 4000 fans turned to witness the return of the Wimbledon Dons speedway team at Wimbledon Stadium on Thursday night. 'The King of Plough Lane' Ronnie Moore was guest of honour and receievd a raptous welcome on his return to the track where he became a legend.

English expresses club's sympathies for Nix.
Newcastle co-promoter George English has expressed the club's sympathies following the death of David Nix. He said: "Our heartfelt condolonces go to David's family and friends as well as all the riders, supporters and officials at King's Lynn.
Moggridge fit to return.
Alan Mogridge has declared himself fit to ride for Stoke Easy Rider Potters against Workington on Saturday. Mogridge injured his back last week lifting paving stones and missed the Stoke's last three fixtures - two of which were rained off and the other the Potters' away win at Exeter.

The Kings Lynn speedway team is mourning promising young rider David Nix, after a fatal accident in a recent Conference League match with Newcastle Diamonds.

Mildenhall have appointed former Berwick rider Scott Lamb as their new rider-coach. He will make his debut this Sunday against Boston at West Row after his scheduled first meeting against Wimbledon was postponed.

Injured Reading Racer Brendon Mackay has said that he plans to be back in action very soon. The Aussie intends to be back practising in as few as three weeks, as the arm he injured in a recent meeting is already healing very well.
