Petter Solberg: My Citroen feels so good

Citroen privateer Petter Solberg will be out to score more points this weekend on the Rally of Turkey and following his second podium finish in succession two weeks ago the Norwegian is on a roll.

Solberg is currently fourth in the drivers' championship - with 35 points - and having finished third last time out, he is keen to once again push for a top result.

Furthermore while Turkey will be a step into the unknown - now that it has moved to Istanbul - and will also be the first rally to take advantage of new rules for 2010 allowing mixed surface speed tests, Petter isn't fazed by it.

Indeed he has been encouraged by his pre-event tests and is now raring to go: "We have been here for a few days now for pre-event testing, and I am so pleased with my rally car," Solberg said ahead of the fourth round in the 2010 World Rally Championship. "It feels so good, and right now I almost can't wait until the rally starts."

This weekend's rally will also be a special one for Petter and his co-driver Phil Mills as it will mark their 150th WRC event together.

"150 WRC events, that's a lot! I do hope we have many more to come," Petter continued. "To me, Phil is the best co-driver, he knows exactly how everything should be, always!"

Petter's brother, Henning, meanwhile is also looking forward to Turkey and as normal he will be in action for the Stobart Ford team. Henning had a difficult event in Jordan and is keen now to bounce back.

"After getting two punctures and losing valuable time in Jordan, I'll be looking to improve my performance in Turkey this week," Henning added.

"I did well in the last Turkish rally two years ago finishing in fifth place so I am looking for a similar result this time round. The new stages might be tough as we're not familiar with the roads but I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully producing more points for the team."
