Top 15 classification after SS4 at Rally Sweden

Ott Tanak has taken to the front at Rally Sweden with pair of stage wins on Friday’s morning loop to lead Teemu Suninen by 5.5s.

The Estonian driver grabbed the classification lead off Thierry Neuville with victory the first stage of the morning before seeing off Suninen’s SS3 stage win to claim SS4 and extend his lead to over five seconds in his Toyota.

The M-Sport Ford driver holds second spot by just one-tenth of a second over fellow Finn Jari-Matti Latvala for Toyota with overnight leader Neuville in fourth place for Hyundai.

Sebastien Ogier, WRC points leader after victory at Rallye Monte-Carlo, has been shuffled into fifth place on his snow debut for Citroen with teammate Esapekka Lappi in sixth place four-tenths back.

Andreas Mikkelsen holds seventh place for Hyundai ahead of Kris Meeke for Toyota with Sebastien Loeb (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport Ford) rounding out the top ten.

Two-time WRC champion Marcus Gronholm suffered an early exit by crashing out on SS4 for Toyota in his first premier class appearance for nine years.
