DFX Ducati has announced it will not participate in the flyaway World Superbike races in South Africa and United States after claiming 'circumstances beyond its control'.

Currently in its second season as a Ducati satellite team, DFX have generally been out classed by its Althea and B&G Racing counterparts, with Lorenzo Lanzi down in 16th overall having failed to score in the last four races.

DFX has now decided it will not participate in the coming Kyalami and Miller Motorsports Park events as it looks to regroup ahead of its second home round of the season at Misano.

DFX suffered a major blow at Kyalami last season when Regis Laconi, who was riding high in the overall standings after a series of strong performances, crashed and suffered serious injuries. The Frenchman is yet to return to racing.
