The Daily Star has become established as the key newspaper for motorcyclists, with Mark Forsyth's column every Tuesday and full coverage of the racing scene on its sports pages throughout the week.

As the official newspaper of the championship, the Daily Star will be carrying advertising for the race-dates at the circuits around the country, together with promotional competitions and activities geared to bringing readers to race meetings.

''We are delighted to link up with the British Superbike Championship. We think it is an ideal partnership and we will give the best coverage to the sport throughout the whole season," said Jim Mansell, the Sports Editor.

The coverage will include dedicated British Superbike championship coverage, both prior to and after each round, together with coverage of the news as it happens throughout the weeks.

''The Daily Star has always been enthusiastic in its coverage of motorcycle racing, and as such this is a natural progression, and we see a growing relationship that is mutually beneficial to both parties," said Jos Foulston, the Series Director of the British Superbike Championship.

The Daily Star will be carrying an extensive preview to the new season in its Friday (30/3) editions this week.
