Guy Farbrother killed in road accident.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Guy Farbrother, who was tragically killed in a road accident close to his home in Hampshire yesterday evening (Monday).

The 18-year old bike racing prodigy had just begun his second season with the Red Bull Rookie team, having achieved fourth place in Sunday's first race at Silverstone and was considered one of Britain's most promising up-and-coming riders.

The 18-year old bike racing prodigy had just begun his second season with the Red Bull Rookie team, having achieved fourth place in Sunday's first race at Silverstone and was considered one of Britain's most promising up-and-coming riders.

Farbrother achieved a lot in his first year with the Rookies squad, and along with team-mate Midge Smart helped shape the team into what it is today. He finished sixth in the British 125cc Championship in 2002 - his first season of senior competition.

Guy will be greatly missed by all at Red Bull, the team and within British racing circles. Our condolences are with his family at this sad time.
