There was no repeat of the problems that beset the team in the earlier test at Almeria where bad weather and illness prevented them from completing any serious testing. This time the weather was fine and sunny for three of the four days and all four riders quickly settled to the unfamiliar circuit as they got to work testing set-up and tyres.

"We had a slight glitch on the second day when the weather was against us but apart from that everything went smoothly, the riders settled very well to the circuit and were very soon on the pace," commented Richard Wilson, the Vivaldi team manager.

"We took time to test a variety of different tyre compounds and set-up links and all in all everything went according to plan. The whole test was a resounding success and we are all now eagerly awaiting the opening race at Brands at Easter."

Before that the team will take in the first full official test at Donington on 13th March, followed by a second outing at Brands Hatch on 15th March, prior to the official championship launch in London the following day.
