Spanish charge at Donington for Riba.

Pere Riba on his MSS Discovery Kawasaki was the man to beat during free practice two at Donington Park. Fellow Spaniard, Gregorio Lavilla posted the fastest time in Superbike practice so the Supersport rider has obviously decided to follow his lead!

Riba posted a 1min35.155secs,0.3 secs clear of Northpoint Ekerold Honda's Cal Crutchlow, Tom Sykes on the TAS Suzuki rounded out the top three.

Current Champion Leon Camier finished in fourth; he is finding his feet with his new Northpoint team having switched from Padgetts at the end of last season. His biggest change has been to Ohlins suspension and Pirelli tyres - something he needs to get to grips with.

Rob Frost who had a big off last time out a Brands Hatch is back to his usual fighting form putting his Buff Kawasaki in fifth place. Jamie Robinson on the www.bykerbabe.com Honda split the two Irish riders with John Laverty in sixth and fellow country man Ian Lowery in eighth place. Lowery cut his teeth in the R6 Cup and is now ready to develop his skills in Supersport.

Chris Burns on the AIM Yamaha was ninth just ahead of Dennis Hobbs in Padgetts guise who was tenth. Both riders are moving from Superbikes to Supersport this year and both canny Northerners are out to make their mark, so it should make for interesting racing!
