BSS: Crutchlow fastest at Mondello.

Northpoint Ekerold Honda's Cal Crutchlow led the second free practice session for the supersport class ahead of round five of the British Championship at Mondello Park in Ireland.

He lapped in 1min 42.066secs just 0.024secs outside the lap record which currently belongs to Pere Riba who was second fastest with a 1min 42.428secs. Leon Camier on the second of the Northpoint machines took up a healthy third place.

Irish team TAS Suzuki had Tom Sykes in fourth place, as the adopted "Irish" rider pushed Eugene Laverty on the Red Bull Honda back to fifth place. Laverty is expecting a lot of support from his home crowd and is hoping to get a third win under his belt.

Stuart Easton on the Lloyd's British Ducati was seventh following his superb fourth place finish at the North West 200. Dennis Hobbs on the Padgetts Honda who is still recovering from his broken collar bone sustained at Oulton Park managed to come home in fifteenth place.
