Stormy Rea leads at sunny Knockhill.

Johnny Rea on the Red Bull Honda showed the Bennetts British Superbike riders the way round the challenging Knockhill circuit to lead free practice two in preparation for the eighth round of the hotly contested championship.

He dropped into the 48secs lap time mid session and continued to better his pace, his fastest time was 48.709secs. The Airwaves Ducati pair of Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla were running in second and third respectively, with Ryuichi Kiyonari on the HM Plant Honda running fourth.

Michael Rutter had an eventful session tipping off at the Real Radio hairpin, the debris from his Stobart machine had to be cleared from the track so the session was temporarily red flagged. He finished the session in eighth over all with his team-mate Michael Laverty in tenth.
