Joe Francis will remain at PR Racing for a second season in the Bennetts British Superbike championship in 2020.

Having made a breakthrough campaign this year on the team’s BMW S1000RR, capped by topping a practice session in damp conditions at the Brands Hatch finale, Francis is looking to build on his 2019 having claimed four points finishes across the season.

“I am really excited for next year,” Francis said. “We have made some great progress with the bike in the latter half of this season, so getting a full winter test program and another season on the latest bike will be good for myself and the team and help us move forward with the BMW.”

“My first full year in BSB has been great, I have learnt a lot and my confidence on the bike grew after each round. The aim for 2020 is to continue building on the progress we have made and to start collecting those championship points as early as possible.”

Team boss John Jameson has been impressed by the youngster’s development across the season and feels keeping him on board will help achieve its 2020 targets in BSB.

“Joe is a talented rider and we have seen him develop as the season progressed and we now look forward to having continuity for next season with Joe on board,” Jameson said.

“We have a busy overseas testing schedule throughout the winter months, so that will be important for us, as we take the next step up within the championship.”
