Team Dynamics Honda's Dan Rowbottom has ended free-practice fastest of all setting the pace during the second British Touring Car Championship practice session of the weekend at Oulton Park.

Rowbottom narrowly dipped under FP1 pacesetter Josh Cook's best lap from the morning session after producing a 1'25.858s, which was good enough to beat Hyundai i30N runner Tom Ingram in second position.

That maintained Honda's current stranglehold over the weekend so far, with both BTC Racing and Team Dynamics Civic Type R machinery topping both free-practice sessions.

Just behind the top-two, EXCELR8 Motorsport's Dan Lloyd followed in the sister Hyundai i30N with the third fastest time ahead of a surprise addition to the top-four, Aiden Moffat.

Moffat, as well as the entire Infiniti Q50 contingent, has struggled to make any impression so far this season, but the Laser Tools Racing driver ended FP2 as the fastest RWD runner ahead of three-time champion Gordon Shedden in fifth.

Rory Butcher continued Toyota Gazoo Racing UK's strong start to the weekend with the sixth fastest time for the Corolla at Speedworks Motorsport's home circuit.

Adam Morgan once again ended practice as the fastest BMW runner in seventh, with Bobby Thompson, Ricky Collard and Jake Hill completing the remainder of the top-ten in eighth, ninth and tenth.

As was the case in FP1, there were notable absences from the top-order with defending champion Ash Sutton and two-time champion Jason Plato setting the 11th and 12th fastest times.

Four-time champion Colin Turkington was 16th fastest behind his Team BMW stablemate Stephen Jelley in 15th.
