A member of the Marussia team needed medical treatment after an accident in the pit-lane during third and final practice for the Chinese Grand Prix.

The incident, which left the team member with 'minor injuries', occurred as rookie Max Chilton returned from his installation lap. The Briton's car collided with his mechanic as he pulled into his pit box, leaving the man on the floor.

He was treated on site after an ambulance was despatched down the pit-lane - while the session continued - and does not appear to require time in hospital after suffering only superficial injuries to his leg.
