The Renault F1 Team has used the launch of the new R25 to also announce a new partnership agreement with the Italian company Chronotech, one of the leading brands of the Global Watch Industries group.

In addition, the team's supplier base has been enhanced following the conclusion of agreements with Tecnomatix and Champion.

Tecnomatix will supply the team with software inspection solutions to further enhance the efficiency of the extensive in-house manufacturing operations required during the design and development process, while Champion will extend its supply of sparking plugs that dates back nearly thirty years to Renault's victorious Le Mans 24 Hours endurance racing programme of the mid-1970s.

"We are pleased to welcome Chronotech to the team," Renault F1 managing director Flavio Briatore said. "This is a young brand which combines a spirit of flair and creativity with the cutting-edge technology of watchmaking, and their values fit perfectly with those of the team.

"Our new commercial agreements demonstrate the team is in robust commercial health ahead of the 2005 season. We have a broad range of loyal partners who are committed to supporting the Renault F1 Team, and we pride ourselves not only on our performance but also on offering value for money to the companies who invest in our success.

"I am confident that this newly reinforced commercial line-up will be a further boost to the team as we strive to achieve our goals of challenging for the world championship in the coming seasons."
