The 2021 F1 season is braced for a double-header climax in the Middle East that will determine the outcome of both world championships. 

First up is a first-ever trip to Jeddah and the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at a brand new street circuit. 

If circumstances were to go his way, Max Verstappen could be crowned world champion for the first time in Saudi Arabia. 

The Red Bull driver holds an eight-point lead over title rival Lewis Hamilton, who has momentum on his side after winning the last two rounds in Qatar and Brazil. 

With both world championships finely poised, it is set to be an enthralling end to the 2021 season. 

Jeddah will also play host to the penultimate round of the Formula 2 season, which continues after a two-month break.

When is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix? 

The 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, December 5. Will follow the traditional race weekend format consisting of two practice sessions on Friday, final practice and qualifying on Saturday, and then the grand prix itself on Sunday.

Where is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix taking place? 

The 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is held at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, a 6.174km circuit featuring 27 corners that will contested over 50 laps. 

The event will become F1’s fifth full night race, as well being the second-longest track on the calendar - behind only the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. 

Jeddah’s circuit has been billed as the ‘fastest street track’ on the planet, with cars simulated to have an average speed in excess of 160mph.
