Courtney to miss Rockingham.

British Formula Three Championship leader James Courtney will miss this weekend's two rounds at Rockingham - giving rival Robbie Kerr the perfect opportunity to overturn his 18-point deficit.

Courtney is apparently still suffering the effects of going off in a near-200mph incident while testing for the Jaguar Racing Formula One team at Monza last week. A regular tester for the team, Courtney has been combining his F1 duties with contesting the British F3 series with Carlin Motorsport.

Derek Hayes - who drove for Carlin in the non-championship race at the British Grand Prix meeting - has been drafted into the squad for the Rockingham meeting, and promptly topped the test times at the track yesterday.
