Multiple MotoGP Champion Valentino Rossi has received a minor setback to his preparations for the 2009 campaign after injuring his hand and foot in a bizarre accident at home, when he reportedly slipped while closing the curtains and fell onto a glass table.

The accident occurred at the Italian home of the Fiat Yamaha star - who is bidding to add a seventh crown to his CV in the premier class this year by successfully defending his 2008 title glory - when he tripped and the table onto which he stumbled broke, cutting the ring finger of his left hand and the sole of his left foot.
