Bautista looking forward to Brands Hatch demo

While most of the MotoGP field will be away from their race bikes for the two-weekend summer break, rookie Alvaro Bautista will at least get to complete some demonstration laps on his GSV-R.

The Rizla Suzuki rider is to make a guest appearances at this weekend's Brands Hatch BSB round, where he will be performing 'high speed demonstration laps' - presumably allowed under the strict MotoGP testing restrictions - on both Saturday and Sunday.

"It will be interesting for me to go to Brands Hatch because I have never been there before and it is such a famous track," said the Spaniard, who has taken a bets race finish of fifth in MotoGP so far this season.

"It will be good to learn another circuit and to visit a totally new place. To have new experiences like this is always good and it will be interesting for me to ride the bike and get more of a feeling for it at different places.

"I am looking forward to doing the demo run and showing the British fans that have never seen a MotoGP bike just what it is all about."

Former British Superbike champion John Reynolds will also ride the GSV-R at Brands Hatch and Rizla Suzuki team manager Paul Denning indicated there could also be at least one other rider.

"Alvaro is looking forward to riding the Brands Hatch GP track, he's heard a lot about it and I'm not sure if he's scared or excited, but I'm positive he'll let the Rizla Suzuki GSV-R rip and provide great entertainment," said Denning.

"There'll be another rider or two experiencing the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP GSV-R for the first time as well - so watch this space for details!"

World Superbike riders Leon Haslam and Sylvain Guintoli will also be taking part in the demonstrations, as Suzuki celebrate 50 years of racing and the 25th anniversary of the GSX-R.
