MotoGP Catalunya - Warm-up Results
Jorge Lorenzo leads MotoGP warm-up in Catalunya, the Movistar Yamaha rider taking over at the top from Maverick Vinales during the middle stages of the 20-minute session.
Vinales, who will start just ahead of Lorenzo in second on the grid, then fell after losing the front of his Suzuki at the end of the back straight. Team-mate and pole sitter Aleix Espargaro was fourth quickest.
Lorenzo still looks the best for race pace, with an average lap time several tenths quicker than his rivals this morning. However the likes of Marquez, Rossi and Aleix Espargaro were closely matched as best of the rest for average pace and will be determined to prevent the #99 escaping.
Race pace is expected to be in the 1m 42s, but the cooler morning conditions allowed the top three to break into the '41s this morning. All of the frontrunners are predicted to select the medium rear tyre for the race.
Karel Abraham will miss today's race after dislocating his toe and undergoing surgery on Saturday...
