MotoGP Austria - Free Practice (3) Results

A wet but drying Red Bull Ring track saw most riders switch to slicks in the closing stages of FP3 for the Austrian MotoGP, but the dry FP1 times remained unbeaten and decided the top ten riders receiving direct access to Qualifying 2.

Marquez dominated the closing stages of FP3, after sitting out all of the wet tyre action.

The biggest name forced to take part in Qualifying 1 is Rossi, who was eleventh after a technical problem on Friday.

Thick cloud is still hanging over the Red Bull Ring circuit, but the weather is forecast to improve, including a dry and sunny Sunday. Pol Espargaro is absent after fracturing his collarbone at Brno last weekend.
