Benfield Sports International (BSI), rights holders of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix Series (SGP), has announced Poland's national postal services company, Polish Post, as title sponsor of the forthcoming Polish Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz. The penultimate event of the nine round world championship series will be officially known as the 2003 FIM Polish Post Grand Prix of Poland.

Marek Switalski, Event Manager, Polish Post, commented: "The SGP Series is one of Poland's most popular spectator sports and as the championship reaches one of its most exciting climaxes for many years, the interest is massive. We have been involved in sponsorship on a local level and the natural progression was to take this to a higher level and become involved in the world championship. The SGP Series also complements our growing sports sponsorship portfolio and enables us to promote our services - in particular our new Priority Parcel service - to a wider audience."

John Postlethwaite, Chief Executive, Benfield Sports International said: "Polish Post is one of the leading businesses in Poland and we are delighted they have expanded their sponsorship interests to include world championship speedway. They are one of a number of companies who have realised the benefits of using the Series to develop and introduce new products to the Polish market."
