With the usual winter re-shuffling now rife in British Speedway, the behind the scenes structure at Berwick Speedway are also being tweaked and altered for the betterment of the club commercially and in terms of publicity on the world wide web.

Up till now www.berwickbandits.co.uk has been the well-respected and very active "unofficial" website run by Alan Aynsley, especially with it's support of the Carlos Villar Support Fund.

Now, however, it has been granted "official" status by Berwick's promoter Peter Waite with the original official site now off air, although is keen to thank David Cairns for his good web-work over the years on his site.

"The site run by Alan has become better and better over the last 12 months and that's why I have decreed official status upon it. It gets an amazing number of hits and puts out all the news in an effective and efficient way. Making this site our official one is a good move for us" said Waite.

Waite has also appointed Andrew Renner, a local supporter with many good business links in the area, as Commercial Manager. He will be charged with gaining new and retaining old sponsorship links.

"Andrew will be signing up our sponsors this year, and is currently attempting to fill up our match-day programme with new and old advertisers, along with getting each of our 15 heats sponsored throughout the season plus gaining as many meeting sponsors for us for 2004."

"Any prospective sponsors can contact Andrew via the new official website at www.berwickbandits.co.uk following commercial links."
